The Details...

This rolled gold ring feaures a central claw set faux pearl and two round, claw set ruby rhinestones either side of it.

A Short History...

The popularity of the use of faux pearls within costume jewellery is undeniable. Between the 1900s and 1960s, they were enjoying a heyday, as they made pieces more affordable than bold rhinestone examples and were acceptable for daywear too. Famous costume jewellery brands, such as Chanel and Miriam Haskell, used faux pearls prolifically and many unsigned pieces were made using them to emulate their high end designs.
