The Details...

This necklace features blue glass links, detailed with gilt metal caps and bars and interspersed with small round faux pearls. The necklace fastens using a box clasp, which is detailed with a cluster of faux pearls and blue glass beads. The necklace measures 79cm in length. It is unsigned, as most Archimede Seguso pieces were. But, it bears all the hall marks of Archimede Seguso for Chanel jewellery.

A Short History...

The Seguso family have been producing glass artifacts on the island of Murano, in Venice, since the 14th Century. In the 1970s Archimede Seguso was invited by Chanel to produce a collection of glass jewellery to compliment the brand's clothing designs. A highly collectible range of pieces resulted from this collaboration in arresting colour ways and with fascinating faux pearl and rhinestone details.

Wear it With...

This is a whenever and wherever piece. It looks beautiful for evening, with a Little Black Dress or, for day, sitting on top of a pale grey knit peeking out from under a trench coat.
