The Details...

This bracelet consists of wide rectangular gold tone metal panels with open-work floral designs at their corners. Two panels are detailed with large gold tone metal leaves and two panels are detailed with claw set, faux lapis, glass, oval shaped cabochons. The bracelet fastens with a fold over clasp. It is 18cm in length and the panels are 6cm wide, making the bracelet a statement, cuff-like, design. 

A Short History...

Hippie motifs, such as flowers and leaves, were a major influence on jewellery styling in the 1960s. This bracelet would have served its wearer with a statement way of buying into the 'Flower Power' trend. Also, its gold tone embodies the design aesthetic of popular jewellery manufacturers at the time, such as Trifari.
