This pretty logoed bracelet is so evocative of the collections produced by John Galliano for Christian Dior. It dates from the late 1990s.

Condition Report:

Very Good - Some minor scratching to the reverse of the central panel on the bracelet. This is not visible when worn and does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece.

The Details...

This silver tone bracelet features a central rectangular pale pink enamelled panel embossed with a repeating pattern of the Dior logo and detailed with a white enamel bow in one corner. Two rows of small, round clear rhinestones lead out from each end of the panel joining two further smaller panels of the same design. The bracelet is adjustable in length, fastening with a lobster claw clasp and open link chain. The chain is detailed at the end with a 'D' charm. The bracelet can measure between 16cm and 21cm. It is signed. The reverse of the central panel is stamped with 'Dior' and a copyright symbol. The charm is also stamped 'Dior'. A Short History...

This bracelet is doubtless emblematic of the logo-mania that swept 1980s and 1990s fashion. Indeed, women wanted to demonstrate their affluence and their dedication to consumerism through fashion. What better way to shout the name of one's favourite designer than through jewellery? Houses, such as Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, produced pieces that catered for this trend of emblazoning oneself in brands and this bracelet is demonstrative of this time in history.

Wear it With...

The whimsy and delicacy of this bracelet means that it would work stacked with other chain styles. Perhaps wear with earlier pieces for a great contrast.
