A Short History...

The Monet company catered extensively for the demand for classic gold tone pieces in the 1980s. Women wanted practical designs that would function in the workplace, as much as they would look elegant with evening wear. Well crafted, gold plated, brooches such as this were consequently a popular purchase in department stores accross the USA and UK in the Eighties. They were crucial to the enduring appeal of Monet jewellery.
