The Details...

These drop earrings are constructed from chrome plated metal, which is both hammered and polished. They are each detailed with a bow design and feature red glass panels and beads. The earrings fasten with a screw-back mechanism and measure 5cm x 1.5cm.

A Short History...

These earrings feature a number of design elements that can be found on pieces created by Jakob Bengel during what is commonly known as the Machine Age of the 1930s. The use of chrome, the red and silver colour way, the hammered detailing and the bow design are all aspects that can regularly be seen on jewellery by Bengel. Therefore, these earrings most likely originated in his factory.
