The Details...

These earrings are gold tone. They feature a central lilac coloured rhinestone surrounded by aurora borealis rhinestones in a pink tone. All of the stones are faceted and claw set. The earrings are 2cm in diameter.

All of our clip earrings are provided with removable pads for additional comfort, should you require it.

A Short History...

The use of aurora borealis rhinestones in costume jewellery was popular in the 1950s. Swarovski began putting an iridescent coating on stones in 1955 and from then their use became widespread. The rainbow effect from the stones was thought to resemble the Northern Lights and so the name Aurora Borealis was coined to describe them.

Wear it With...

A delicate floral print would be the perfect accompaniment for these earrings, perhaps on a pair of cigarette pants paired with silk shirt.
