A Short History...

Examples of Christian Dior jewellery from the 1950s and 1960s, such as these earrings, are highly collectable because of the bold, stylised and elegant designs highly reminiscent of the era and the House's fashions. Christian Dior jewellery from the period is also of outstanding quality because the man himself insisted upon the house's accessories emulating the quality of its couture. These earrings were most likely designed and produced in Germany for the house by Henkel and Grossé - renowned for their fine craftsmanship and eye for design. Christian Dior only relied upon the most expert producers to create for his company. Before his untimely death in 1957, he had invited an impressive list of jewellery designers to make for the house. With their prestigious heritage, beautiful design, excellent crafting and pristine condition - these earrings are a must have indeed.
