Christian Dior 1990s Vintage Rhinestone Tag Earrings

These cool, logo detailed earrings were created in the late 1990s for Christian Dior, when John Galliano was head of design at the prestigious fashion house.

Condition Report:

Very Good - A little darkening to a few rhinestones on one earring. This is only visible on very close inspection and does not detract from the appeal of the earrings.

The Details...

These silver plated earrings are designed to resemble price tags or dog tags. They are studded with small, round, colourless rhinestones and feature the 'Dior' logo. They are clip on and the tension of the clips can be adjusted. The earrings measure 2cm x 1cm.

A Short History...

Examples of Christian Dior jewellery from the late 1990s and the early 2000s are becoming highly collectable and will certainly be antiques of the future. This is because they represent the era during which the controversial designer John Galliano was at the helm. He specialised in producing collections that embraced fantasy, whilst nodding to the heritage of Dior and its position as a global superbrand. Galliano was a creative tour de force, with both excellent design skills and imagination - these earrings are testimony to this. These earrings are a chance to own an accessible and evocative item by a gentleman who will forever be a part of fashion history.

Wear it With...

These earrings are a wardrobe essential - they will enable you to add Dior's elegance and cool to any look. Pair them with a softly tailored trouser suit by day for work and wear them with a cocktail dress in neutral tones for evening.
