The Details...

These wonderful earrings are constructed from sterling silver. They feature a bow design set with baguette cut and brilliant cut, colourless paste stones. Each stone has been individually hand set within an open-back mount. The bottom six paste stones on each earring are articulated, so that they move gently with the wearer. They measure 4cm x 2cm. The earrings are signed - they are stamped 'SCP ENGLAND'. The 'SCP' stands for Sterling Ciro Pearls.

A Short History...

These earrings can be identified as being by Ciro because of their mark 'SCP'. This was how company signed its sterling silver pieces, with the initials standing for 'Sterling Ciro Pearls'. Although there are no pearls on these earrings, Ciro were so famed for their use of cultured pearls, that the word 'pearl' followed the company name in their makers mark.
