Louis Rousselet 1930s Faux Pearl Cascade Vintage Drop Earrings

These earrings date from the 1930s and were created in France by Louis Rousselet. They feature delicate faux pearls.

Very Good - Some tiny scuffs to a couple of areas on the faux pearls consistent with age and use. This is only visible upon very close inspection and does not deter from the overall appeal of the piece.

The Details...

These screw-back earrings are created from silver tone metal. They feature a flower motif, suspended from which are tassels. The earrings are detailed throughout with round and lozenge shaped faux pearls. Each earring is stamped with 'MADE in FRANCE' and 'LR' on the earring back. They each measure 5.5cm x 1.75cm. A Short History...

Louis Rousselet was a major manufacturer of beads and jewellery incorporating his beads in Paris from the 1920s until the early 1970s. He produced pieces for the most prominent couturiers, such as Chanel. The beads were all hand wound and polished and, therefore, of exceptional quality.
