The Details...

These rhodium plated earrings feature large-scale, teardrop shaped, flawed emerald green crystals. They are detailed with round and baguette cut, colourless rhinestones. The earrings measure 4cm x 2cm. They are stamped with 'BOUCHER 7940E' and a copyright symbol on the reverse of each earring.

A Short History...

These earrings are emblematic of the 'Cocktail Style' of costume jewellery being produced and worn during the 1950s and 1960s. There was a craze for costume jewellery that was ostentatious and glitzy; featuring stones in outlandish sizes and showy colourways. This form of jewellery was referred to as 'cocktail' because it was commonly worn to a way of gathering together that was becoming increasingly popular - the cocktail party.

Wear it With...

These earrings would be a striking accompaniment to a black tuxedo.
