Roger Jean Pierre 1950s Silver Plated Vintage Multicoloured Rhinestone Earrings

These beautiful earrings were created in France by Roger Jean Pierre in the 1950s.

Condition Report:

Very Good - A little tarnishing to the metal reverse of the earrings and rubbing to the vitrail coating on a couple of rhinestones. This is consistent with age and does not detract from the overall appeal of these earrings.

A Short History...

Roger Jean Pierre was one of the most renowned 'paruriers' of his time. The 'paruriers', who particularly enjoyed a heyday after the Second World War, created costume jewellery and accessories to adorn and enhance the work of the couturiers. Roger Jean Pierre produced jewellery for and enjoyed friendships with some of the greatest couture designers of them all - namely Christian Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli and Yves Saint Laurent. The jewellery he produced was particularly sought after in America, where he was interviewed and photographed regularly on his visits.
