The Details...

These gold tone metal drop earrings feature a claw set, faceted, purple glass bead. Suspended from this are clusters of smaller, faceted, purple and vitrail coated glass beads. These lead down to a purple, green and black foiled glass bead which terminates in a purple glass rondelle. The earrings feature a clip with adjustable tension. They are signed - the reverse of both clips is stamped 'Vendôme'. They measure 4.5cm x 1cm.

All of our clip on earrings are supplied with removable pads for extra comfort.

A Short History...

Glass has been a prevelant feature of costume pieces since the invention of jewellery. An easily accessible material that can be formed into any shape and dyed any colour. Glass was heavily used in 1950s pieces, such as these earrings, because of it's ability to meet the need for affordable jewellery after the Second World War.

Wear it With...

The bright colours in these earrings would look sensational paired with a deep purple velvet blazer - so on trend at the moment.
