1970s Assembled Vintage Necklace featuring an Art Nouveau Panel and 1930s Beads

This necklace was sold in a family-owned boutique in the 1970s. They created jewellery using Czechoslovakian beads and motifs that were sourced over a period of 50 years by their father. 

Condition Report:

Very Good - Some minor wear to the surface of the metal pendant. This does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece.

The Details...

This necklace features black, green and red glass beads of varying shapes and sizes, dating from the 1930s. Some of the beads are separated by gilt metal filigree floral caps. The beads are hand strung and knotted. Some of the beads are pressed and molded with a floral design. The largest bead, suspended as a pendant from the necklace, is marbled with a variety of colours. The gilt metal panel dates from the 1900s, it features a typically Art Nouveau angel and is detailed with round, red, green and clear rhinestones. The necklace measures 78cm and the drop of the pendant is 13.5cm.
