A Short History...

This necklace was created by the German company, Henkel and Grossé, for Christian Dior. In 1955, Dior invited the company to enter into a license agreement with them to manufacture and distribute their jewellery. This was the start of a very successful relationship between the two brands. This necklace represents the lush gold plated pieces created by Grossé for Dior in the 1970s and 1980s. It also features a logo which was originally designed for a brooch created for the house in the 1950s.
