The Details...

This necklace is constructed from silver tone metal and comes with its original pouch and store label. It features a curb link chain with a central rectangular panel, stamped with the Dior logo. There’s a silver tone bow attached to the panel, suspended from which are C and D charms. The necklace fastens with a lobster clasp and is adjustable in length, using an open link chain, that ends in a ‘D’ charm stamped with the ‘Dior’ logo. A Short History...

Examples of Christian Dior jewellery from the late 1990s and the early 2000s are becoming highly collectable and will certainly be antiques of the future eventually. This is because they represent the era during which the controversial designer John Galliano was at the helm. He specialised in producing collections that embraced fantasy, whilst nodding to the heritage of Dior and its position as a global superbrand. Galliano was a creative tour de force, with both excellent design skills and imagination - the quality of this necklace is testimony to this. This piece is a chance to own an accessible and evocative item by a gentleman who will forever be a part of fashion history.
