The Details...

This necklace is constructed from chrome plated metal. The necklace features a double link cable chain. Suspended from the necklace is a spherical shaped pendant with a black Galalith bead at its centre and a decorative, chrome plated, leaf design capping. The necklace fastens with a barrel clasp and measures 44cm. The diameter of the pendant is 3.5cm.

A Short History...

This piece does not bear a signature. All of Jakob Bengel jewellery was unsigned. However, his pieces possess distinctive hallmarks which make this necklace readily identifiable as Bengel. The chromium plating and double link chain design used in the necklace are typical of the company's 1930s pieces. The use of black Galalith also means this is certainly by Jakob Bengel.
