Featuring lustrous faux pearls and pale pink tones, this necklace dates from the 1930s and was created in France by Louis Rousselet.

Very Good - Some tarnishing in a couple of places around the faux pearl holes, where the chain is threaded through. This is only visible upon very close inspection.

The Details...

This necklace features faux pearls of increasing sizes. These are interspersed with pink glass rondelle beads. Four of the faux pearls are capped with decorative floral caps constructed from Bakelite. The necklace fastens with a barrel clasp and the beads are threaded onto chain. The necklace measures 44cm in length. 

A Short History...

Louis Rousselet was a major manufacturer of beads and jewellery incorporating his beads in Paris from the 1920s until the early 1970s. He produced pieces for the most prominent couturiers, such as Chanel. The beads were all hand wound and polished and, therefore, of exceptional quality.
