The Details...

This ring is constructed from silver and is hallmarked with '935'. It features a central, large (approximately 4ct in size), round cut, bezel set, colourless paste stone. The shoulders of the ring are detailed with small, round, colourless paste stones. There are three on each side. The ring features another mark on the inside of the band, although this has been rubbed over time becoming indecipherable. It is most likely a maker's mark. The ring is a UK size 'O 1/2'.

A Short History...

During the 1920s and early 1930s, jewellery was influenced by the dawn of a new era. There was a push for all things modern after the shock of the First World War - people wanted to be cleansed of the old and celebrate the new. In the world of design a pure, hard-edged style was craved. This resulted in linear, geometric and symmetrical jewellery designs, as can be seen in this beautiful ring.
