The Details...

The silver tone metal ring features a central design set with two rows of clear and sapphire coloured, square cut rhinestones. The ring is signed. The reverse of the central design is stamped 'TRIFARI' with a crown symbol above the 'T' and a copyright symbol. The ring is a UK size 'K'.

A Short History...

Glamourous and affordable rhinestone jewellery was still prevelant in the 1960s, even though the post-war necessity for it had obviously waned. Featuring stones in outlandish sizes and showy colourways, this form of jewellery was referred to as 'cocktail' because it was commonly worn to a way of gathering together that was becoming increasingly popular - the cocktail party.
