A Short History...

Gilded and bold jewellery was in demand in the 1980s, as a reaction to the hippy chic and modernist metals of the 1970s. Women wanted glamour in their accessories again and companies, such as Gross√© and  Monet, alluded to the ostentatious jewellery of the Fifties in their work. This parure would have satisfied a renewed need for chic, statement pieces.

Wear it With...

This parure would add exceptional interest and detailing to any look. The beauty of a parure is that the pieces can be worn individually for a subtle effect or together for a maximum impact. Wear the earrings alone with a minimal maxi dress, the necklace alone with a white silk shirt or wear the pieces together with a strapless column gown.
