The Details...

This necklace and earrings set features copper droplet shaped panels enamelled in a speckled white and grey colour. In the necklace, they are joined together by copper links detailed with a design that resembles raindrops. This copper design also features in the earrings. The necklace is adjustable in length, using an open link chain and fastening with a hook and eye mechanism. The necklace can be between 36cm and 45cm in length. It is signed - 'Matisse' and a copyright symbol is stamped into the reverse of the hook fastening. The earrings fasten with a screw-back mechanism.

A Short History...

In 1946, the Renoir company was founded and Matisse was established as a subsidiary company in 1952. Both companies are famed for their beautiful copper jewellery - Renoir produced pieces in very geometric designs and Matisse jewellery was decorated with colourful enamels.
