Napier 1955 Silver Plate and Lucite Vintage Gauntlet Bracelet and Earrings Set

These rare examples of mid-century Napier jewellery were created in 1955.

Condition Report:

Very Good - Some crackling to the surface of the lucite cabochons on the bracelet and a possible replacement to one of the links. These factors do not detract from the overall appeal of the items.

The Details...

This cuff bracelet and earrings are constructed from Sterling Silver plated brass. They are detailed with intricately detailed die-stamped panels and hard resin 'Moonglow' cabochons in a deep blue colour. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and the earrings are clip on. Both pieces are stamped 'NAPIER' and 'PAT. PEND.'. The bracelet is 16cm in length and is 7.5cm wide. The earrings measure 3cm x 2cm. 

All of our clip on earrings are supplied with removable pads for extra comfort. 

A Short History...

This set was designed by Eugene Bertoli for the American Napier company in c.1955. The bracelet was known as the 'Flexible Gauntlet'. They features resin cabochons referrred to by Napier as 'Moonglow' stones. This set features in the book 'The Napier Company' by Melinda L. Lewis.
