The Details...

This jewellery set features a bracelet and brooch. Each piece is detailed with a floral motif constructed from conical shaped, transluscent green, plastic beads with a vitrail coating. These beads are edged with faux seed pearls to create a ruffle effect. At the centre of each flower, is a large faux pearl. The bracelet features 3 strands of faux pearls. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and measures 20cm in length. The brooch fastens with a traditional safety catch and the pin is attached to the brooch with a round hinge. The brooch measures 6cm in diameter. The brooch is signed - the filigree backing is stamped 'Vendôme' with a copyright symbol.

A Short History...

The Vendôme jewellery company was founded by Coro in 1944. They produced jewellery inspired by pieces created for the Parisian couture houses, making these styles accessible to American consumers. In 1953 the Vendôme company separated from Coro and continued to make jewellery until 1979.
