The Details...

This necklace, although unmarked, is likely to be silver. It features lengths of small, round, channel set rhinestones (in a milgrain fashion), interspersed with rectangular cut jonquil (yellow) rhinestones, which are claw set. The necklace fastens with a box clasp, also detailed with round, clear rhinestones. The necklace measures 42cm in length.

A Short History...

During the 1920s and early 1930s, jewellery was influenced by the dawn of a new era. There was a push for all things modern after the shock of the First World War - people wanted to be cleansed of the old and celebrate the new. In the world of design a pure, hard-edged style was craved. This resulted in linear, geometric jewellery designs. Such a combination of ideas can be seen in this beautiful necklace.

Wear it with...

This delicate design could work perfectly with a structured and minimal ivory satin bridal gown.
