The Details...

This bangle is constructed from silver tone metal. It features 5 rows of round, claw set, faceted, Aurora Borealis rhinestones graduating in size from large to small, from the centre of the cuff outwards. It is adjustable and can be expanded or contracted to meet the requirement of the wearer.

A Short History...

The use of aurora borealis rhinestones in costume jewellery was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. Swarovski began putting an iridescent coating on stones in 1955 and from then their use became widespread. The rainbow effect from the stones was thought to resemble the Northern Lights and so the name Aurora Borealis was coined to describe them.
