The Details...

This silver tone metal bracelet features interlocking panels studded with round, faceted, clear rhinestones. The bracelet features a buckle design and fastens like a belt around the wrist. The panels are threaded onto nylon, so ithe bracelet has a little elasticity to it. The buckle design allows the bracelet to be adjustable in length too - on its shortest fastening it measures 16.5cm and on its longest fastening it measures 19cm.

A Short History...

This bracelet is emblematic of the 'Cocktail Style' of costume jewellery being produced and worn during the late 1940s through to the early 1960s. In the post-war world there was a craze for costume jewellery that was ostentatious and glitzy; featuring stones in outlandish sizes and large amounts. This form of jewellery was referred to as 'cocktail' because it was commonly worn to a way of gathering together that was becoming increasingly popular - the cocktail party.

Wear it With...

This bracelet is perfect for evening or a special occasion. It would look beautiful with a little black dress, but equally chic with a minimal satin bridal colum gown.
