A Short History...

These pieces can be dated to the 1950s, as the London based designer Mitchel Maer produced jewellery for the House of Dior between 1952 and 1956. His bold rhinestone creations for the house were popular, as they particularly complimented the couture evening wear designed by Dior during the decade. Today, they are the most collectable because they demonstrate Maer's eye for design and bold use of colour. To find out more about Christian Dior and Mitchel Maer, visit our 'Designers' section.
