Schiaparelli 1950s Vintage Turquoise Glass Bracelet

A beautiful bracelet by a much sought after maker of costume jewellery. This piece dates from the early 1950s and was created by Elsa Schiaparelli. 

Condition Report:

Very Good - Some very minor wear to the gilt metal surface in a couple of places. This is consistent with age and use and only visible upon very close inspection.

The Details...

This gold tone bracelet features a scrolling, ribbon like design detailed with aquamarine and pink small, round rhinestones and three large turquoise glass cabochons. The bracelet fastens with a fold-over clasp and features a safety chain too. The bracelet is signed on the reverse with an oval shaped plate that reads 'Schiaparelli' in script lettering. The bracelet measures 18.5cm in length. 

A Short History...

Elsa Schiaparelli loved to create pieces that were a feast for the eyes and so she utilised brightly coloured, large scale stones in her work. In this piece, we can see her love for grand designs through the scale of the bracelet and size of the stones.

The pastel tones in this bracelet makes it the perfect addition to a Spring and Summer wardrobe - pair with a chambray denim shirt and white silk palazzo pants.
