This striking cuff dates from the 1930s. It was created in Germany and is an exceptionally rare example of the work of the Schrieber and Hiller company.

Condition Report:

Very Good - A faint element of scratching to the surface of the Galalith and a little darkening to the metal plating. This is only visible upon very close inspection and does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece.

The Details...

This cuff is constructed from chrome plated metal. It features a large panel of black Galalith and is detailed with channel set, round, colourless paste stones. The cuff is hinged. It is stamped on the inside with the German patent mark D.R.G.M. and a patent number. The internal circumference of the cuff is approximately 17cm.  

A Short History...

This cuff was made by the German Schreiber and Hiller company who stamped their jewellery with the patent DRGM in the 1930s. It stands for Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchsmuster. Schreiber & Hiller was a renowned German jewelry manufacturer, active during the early 20th century, particularly known for producing high-quality Art Deco jewellery. Based in Pforzheim, Germany—an area famous for its jewellery craftsmanship—the brand specialised in intricate designs featuring chrome plated metal and paste stones and reflecting the bold geometric patterns of the Art Deco movement.

- If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
