The Details...
These earrings are a circular shape. They are detailed in their entirety with pink, brown and marbled turquoise round glass beads. The earrings are also detailed with small pink glass rondelle beads woven in strands between the larger beads to create a quilted effect. All of the beads are hand-wired to a brass framework. The earrings are signed, featuring the Coppola e Toppo company's signature star design in the reverse of each clip and stamped on the reverse of both earrings with 'MADE IN ITALY BY Coppola e Toppo. The earrings are 2.25cm in diameter.
All of our clip earrings are provided with removable pads for extra comfort.
A Short History...
Coppola e Toppo pieces are some of the most sought after by collectors of vintage costume jewellery. It is certainly easy to see why - the craftsmanship, eye for detail and design technique empolyed in the production of their jewellery is outstanding. Sister and brother, Lyda Toppo and Bruno Coppola founded the business in 1946. Their success was sealed when design houses Dior, Schiaparelli and Balenciaga commissioned the pair to produce pieces for them. Also, their home town of Milan was increasing its status as a fashion capital and this saw Coppola e Toppo rise to revered heights in fashion circles.
Wear it With...

The jewellery within the Gemma Redmond Vintage collection has survived to this day because it has been well cared for throughout its lifetime. It is important to continue to care for the jewellery that you buy from us to ensure its continued preservation. Here are some suggestions:
- Be sure to store your jewellery within the boxes that we provide to ensure that it is protected. This is especially important when travelling with your pieces.
- Try not to get perfume or hairspray on your items. These liquids can damage the materials that our jewellery is made from.
- Try not to drop your jewellery or catch your jewellery against hard surfaces. If this happens over time, the findings and fixings can loosen and wear.
- Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.
- If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
