The Details...
This necklace is made from the famous Russian Gold Plate, which Joseff used to construct his jewellery. It features a thick rope chain. Suspended from this is a rococo inspired pendant detailed with floral motifs, cherubs and birds. Looped below this pendant are 4 rope chains of increasing length. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring. The necklace is signed - on the reverse of the pendant there is a a 'Joseff' stamp in script form. The necklace measures 45cm in length.

A Short History...
The Joseff of Hollywood company carries a great deal of prestige for both collectors of vintage costume jewellery and movie buffs alike. This is due to the fact that Joseff produced the vast majority of jewellery worn by the stars in films produced during Hollywood's 'Golden Era'. In fact, Joseff specially developed the brushed Russian Gold Plate metal, which we see used in this necklace, as a suitable alternative to polished gold jewellery, which couldn't be used in the films as it reflected the studio lighting.
Wear it With...
Let Joseff's Russian Gold Plate do the talking and pair this necklace with a plain black jersey maxi dress.
The jewellery within the Gemma Redmond Vintage collection has survived to this day because it has been well cared for throughout its lifetime. It is important to continue to care for the jewellery that you buy from us to ensure its continued preservation. Here are some suggestions:
- Be sure to store your jewellery within the boxes that we provide to ensure that it is protected. This is especially important when travelling with your pieces.
- Try not to get perfume or hairspray on your items. These liquids can damage the materials that our jewellery is made from.
- Try not to drop your jewellery or catch your jewellery against hard surfaces. If this happens over time, the findings and fixings can loosen and wear.
- Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.
- If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
