The Details...
Although un-hallmarked, this Duette clip brooch is highly likely to be created from silver. It features a 3D bow design detailed in its entirety with small, round Marcasite stones. The brooch mechanism fastens with a trombone catch and the fastening pin attaches to the reverse of the brooch with a round hinge. The Duette brooch measures 7cm x 2.5cm. Each individual clip measures 3.5cm x 2.25cm.

Duette brooches are also known as double-clip brooches. They feature a pin-backed mount into which two dress clips can be inserted, so they can be worn together as one brooch or as two separate jewels.
