Art Deco 1930s French Marcasite Floral Design Vintage Duette Clip Brooch

    This wonderful Duette clip brooch was most created in France in the late 1930s. 

    Condition Report:

    Very Good - The push and pull mechanism on the trombone clasp is missing. However, the clasp still holds the fastening pin in place and keeps the brooch secure.

    The Details...

    Although un-hallmarked, this Duette clip brooch tests as having some silver content. It features a floral design detailed in its entirety with small, round Marcasite stones. The brooch mechanism fastens with a trombone catch and the fastening pin attaches to the reverse of the brooch with a round hinge. The Duette brooch measures 6.25cm x 2.25cm. Each individual clip measures 3cm x 2.25cm. The reverse of the piece is stamped with 'DEPOSE' - showing that it was made in France.

    - If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
