The Details...

This gilded metal necklace features filigree floral details, including a central wreath design. The flowers are set with small, round, green rhinestones at their centre. The necklace is also detailed with two curved green glass panels and small, round green glass beads. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring and measures 49cm in length. 

A Short History...

Glass has been a prevalent feature of costume pieces since the invention of fashion jewellery. It's extremely suitable for meeting the ever challenging and changing demands of costume jewellery designers because it's an easily accessible material that can be formed into any shape and dyed any colour. This necklace was created in Czechoslovakia - the high quality of the glass and the necklace's floral filigree designs are typical of Czech jewellery.

- Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.

- If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
