    The Details...

    This necklace features gilded metal bicone beads. Along its length, in sets of 3, are faceted round glass beads in shades of pink, green and blue. Suspended from the necklace, from a gilded metal filigree capping, is a faceted, teardrop shaped, pink glass pendant. The necklace measures 70cm in length and the pendant has a drop of 7cm. The pendant is 2.5cm wide.

    Glass has been a prevalent feature of costume pieces since the invention of fashion jewellery. This necklace was created in Czechoslovakia - the high quality of the glass and the necklace's design are typical of Czech jewellery.

    - Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.

    - If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
