    Good - A couple of small indentations to the front of the locket. These are only really apparent to the touch and do not detract from the appeal of the piece.

    The Details...

    This hinged, oval shaped locket is constructed from silver. It is unhallmarked, but has been tested as silver. It is engraved on the front face with 'REGARD' and a scrolling design. The reverse of the locket is engraved with floral motifs. The locket measures 4cm x 3.25cm.

    This locket is a piece of sentimental jewellery from the Victorian era. The word 'Regard' was used frequently in sentimental jewellery during the 1800s to convey affection towards the person the jewel was being gifted to.

    - Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.

    - If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
