1950s Pink Enamel and Rhinestone Vintage Floral Bracelet and Earrings Set

    £75.00

This delightful jewellery set is a pretty example of 1950s floral design.

    Condition Report:

Good - A tiny element of rubbing to the pink enamel at the tips of some of the floral motifs and a small repair to the one link on the bracelet. This is only visible when examining the reverse of the bracelet and does not detract from the appeal of the piece.

    A Short History...

This jewellery set is the epitome of mid-century glamour. It represents the influence of nature upon fifties jewellery. Indeed, couturiers, such as Dior and Balenciaga, were heavily influenced by floral motifs and it is no surprise that other  jewellery manufacturers were producing pieces that echoed Parisian trends.

A beautiful parure for a wedding guest. You can cherish and enjoy these pieces for years to come, as a memento of a special day. The wonder of a parure is the number of styling options available - you can wear both the earrings and bracelet together or, if too much for your look for the day, wear them individually.

The jewellery within the Gemma Redmond Vintage collection has survived to this day because it has been well cared for throughout its lifetime. It is important to continue to care for the jewellery that you buy from us to ensure its continued preservation. Here are some suggestions:

    - Be sure to store your jewellery within the boxes that we provide to ensure that it is protected. This is especially important when travelling with your pieces.

    - Try not to get perfume or hairspray on your items. These liquids can damage the materials that our jewellery is made from.

    - Try not to drop your jewellery or catch your jewellery against hard surfaces. If this happens over time, the findings and fixings can loosen and wear.

    - Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.

    - If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
